Paulie, codenamed Mr. Red, is a character in Conker's Bad Fur Day and Conker: Live & Reloaded.
Biography
Paulie is one of the four members of the "Wise Guys" branch of the Weasel Mafia, which is led by Don Weaso. He has red for an associated color, as he wears a red and white-striped sweater. Each Wise Guy can be distinguished from the color of their striped sweater. In Live & Reloaded every Wise Guy wears the same striped sweater as Paulie, except with a different pattern. They are now only distinguishable from such.
In the Uga Buga chapter, Don Weaso claims that one of his members disrespected him. He said it could've been Frankie or Chicho. As Don Weaso said it could have been Paulie, he suddenly shows up to him with a Baseball Bat. Weaso beats Paulie with it, and Paulie is then shown lying unconscious on the table, in a pool of his own blood. This scene references a scene of The Untouchables. In it, Scarface beats one of his gangsters with a baseball bat at a dinner meeting, as he is suspected for treason.
Paulie and the Wise Guys are main characters in the Heist mode of Multi. Paulie is codenamed "Mr. Red" in this mode. The Wise Guys are ordered to rob a bank, and the losing characters are sent to drown underwater, with a cement block attached to their foot. Paulie and the other Wise Guys can be unlocked in a few other Multi modes if the player types "CHINDITVICTORY" from the Cheats menu. However, only the first player can select Paulie in those modes.
Paulie's felony was revealed in a deleted scene from the ECTS build of Bad Fur Day. He attempted to steal Weaso's "dough", aka Cash. After Conker is brought by a Bouncer for his similar attempt steal Cash from Rock Solid, Weaso tells him, "You what happened to the last guy who tried to do that?". Conker replies that he does not want any free guesses. Don Weaso tells him that he saw what happened (referring to his beating of Paulie).[1]
