Tickly Bees are a group of characters that appear in Conker's Bad Fur Day and its Xbox remake, Conker: Live & Reloaded.

Characteristics

Tickly Bees are groups of Bumblebees that communicate with buzzing noises, and therefore their dialogue is hard to understand. They are the only characters in Bad Fur Day who do not use speech bubbles. Conker understands them in spite of this.

The Tickly Bees appear in the Barn Boys chapter. They and King Bee both first appear on the Barn's upper floor, after Conker pulls a lever to release them. They can be found outside after this happens.

King Bee wants to pollinate the Sunflower. She is bent over, covering her breasts, which prevents other bees from pollinating her. After Conker realizes the Sunflower finds his tail too tickly, he goes over the first swarm of Tickly Bees, who buzz around him and tickle him. Conker believes they are attacking him and tries shooing them away. The Tickly Bees stop and explain that they are pacifists with a fondness of tickling. The Tickly Bees then ask Conker about ticklish flowers. He then realizes the Sunflower has a weakness of being tickled and gets an idea of guiding Tickly Bees to her. As he roams around, Conker tells the Tickly Bees to follow him.

Conker must lead five total colonies at the Sunflower to open her up. In Live & Reloaded, the number of colonies found by Conker are counted from an icon. If Conker gets in contact with a body of water, every Tickly Bee colony flies away and respectively return to their original location. The other four colonies are found:

  1. Located next to the hopping Crate
  2. On a hill behind the enclosure with the Cheese.
  3. On the Barn's roof, to the right of the button that opens its door.
  4. Located next to Barn Boys' entrance and exit.
  5. On the left edge of the large bucket located above the roof of the barn.

After Conker brings all five groups to the Sunflower, a cutscene shows her open up—Mr. King Bees flies at her and pollinates her off-screen. During this, the Tickly Bees somehow vanish and are never to be seen again.

Unused appearances

Tickly Bees were originally planned to appear in the Windmill chapter of Twelve Tales: Conker 64. Their role is unknown, and they had a slightly different look than in Conker's Bad Fur Day.
