Gargoyle, Live & Reloaded

The Gargoyle is a red-eyed Template:W comprised of stone who appears in Conker's Bad Fur Day and Conker: Live & Reloaded. He is the boss of the Hungover chapter, and the first one in both games. He is the easiest boss as Conker simply hits him once.

Appearance

the Gargoyle is a huge, dark gray stone figure that, like an average gargoyle, has horns, an arrow tail, and small wings. He also has glowing red eyes and three claws on each hand.

Gargoyle's appearance was updated in Conker: Live & Reloaded. His body was recolored to light gray, like the color of a stone. His horns were made larger, and they curve like the letter 'c'. His wings were also made larger. Lastly, the Gargoyle's bottom mouth plate was changed, and it has a large fang from both sides.

History

Conker smacks the Gargoyle with his Frying Pan.

When Conker is about to exit the Hungover chapter from a stone, he bumps into the Gargoyle, a large creature blocking the exit to the Windy hub world. The Gargoyle refuses to move off the bridge because he previously sat on a piece of "gothic architecture" for 200 years and finds the bridge more comfy. Conker asked if it was too early to discuss gothic architecture, and the Gargoyle replied that they can talk about "things of another nature" if Conker came a bit closer to him.

In retaliation, Conker smacks the Gargoyle with a Frying Pan. He stands up and laughs at Conker, as he found the attack useless. Conker grinned and mockingly waved at him, with a thought bubble reading, "See ya". The Gargoyle accidentally trips off the bridge and collapses down the waterfall. When the Gargoyle crashes into the ground below, he creates an impact that causes a boulder to fall in front of the exit.

the Gargoyle's reappearance in Live & Reloaded

Gargoyle's role was altered for Conker: Live & Reloaded. When Conker knocks him with his Frying Pan, the Gargoyle laughs it off like last time. However, he does not trip off the bridge. Conker, Template:W, knew that the Gargoyle was meant to fall off.

Conker asks to the Gargoyle why he did not collapse. The Gargoyle, also breaking the fourth wall, explains that the designer decided to slightly alter the area to deceive the audience into thinking the rest of the game would also be different. He tells Conker that he needs to discover another means of defeating him. Conker then says from a thought bubble, "Hmm. Well.. Lucky I brought this as well then!"; he takes out the Baseball Bat and knocks the Gargoyle on the head. The Gargoyle responds with an expressionless "Ouch." the Gargoyle stands up, and trips backward onto the rocky walls. The impact causes a boulder to fall, just like in Bad Fur Day, except he is crushed by the boulder, which breaks him into pieces.

In Conker's Bad Fur Day, the Gargoyle's body is later shown at the bottom of the waterfall after Conker ends the Spooky chapter. This is similar to when Bugger Lugs's body drowned in the flooded Poo Cabin. This was not shown in Live & Reloaded because he was defeated differently.
