Presents are a key item in Conker's Pocket Tales. In the opening sequence, they were presents given to Conker at his birthday party. However, the Evil Acorn bashed the party, stole Berri, and scattered his Presents across each world.

The Cash bundles in later Conker titles, including Conker's Bad Fur Day, Conker: Live & Reloaded, and Conker's Big Reunion are the main collectibles. This means that they were possibly the successor to Presents.

History

Presents were also planned as a key item in Twelve Tales: Conker 64. The game's backstory also involved Conker and Berri recovering 100 Presents, which were stolen and spread across the world map by Hoodlums.[1] The franchise would most likely have a recurring theme of Conker recovering Presents. In this game, the Presents have clear, sky blue wrapping and a yellow ribbon.

To obtain a Present, Conker and Berri had to complete a task of a chapter. For instance, in "Balloon Bonanza" of the Windmill chapter, Conker can only obtain the Present if he collects every Balloon from the overworld. These instructions were also provided from Knowit.[2]

In Conker's Pocket Tales, the Presents have two color variants: red and dark blue. While their general purpose is the same, blue Presents are required to collect whereas red ones are not required unless the player wants complete the game by 100 percent.

There are eight blue Presents in every world. They can be obtained through a variety of means, including completing puzzles, accessing an area with a specific item, completing mini-game challenges, and defeating bosses.

Red Presents are usually harder to obtain, and in some cases Conker can only obtain a red Present by revisiting a world with a specific item, such as a Diving Mask.
