A block puzzle

Block puzzles are one of two puzzles featured in Conker's Pocket Tales, the other being a switch puzzle. The objective is for Conker to push each crate into the right hole. Completing a puzzle either unlocks a door or gets rid of a barrier, but Conker is oftentimes also rewarded with a Present for completing one. The later puzzles are more challenging, as Conker is required to push more blocks, and often require critical thinking from the player.

To push a crate, the player must simultaneously press A Button and the desired direction on +Control Pad. The crate slides in a straight line until reaching a wall or stone. In the Game Boy Color version, the player can reset a block puzzle by opening the Start Button menu and then exiting out of it.

Locations

The first block puzzles appear in Willow Woods, and the very first challenge is done in the Windmill, where Conker must open a room to obtain the Slingshot. Block puzzles are not featured again until the last two worlds, Claw Swamp and Aztec Temple. In both worlds, aside from the boss battle, Conker can obtain each Present by completing a block puzzle. The block puzzles make a final appearance in the Catacombs, where Conker must solve six of them before finding Berri.
