Banjo & Kazooie are a duo of heroes created by Rare. Both Banjo and Kazooie have seen many releases alongside Conker.
Development
Both Banjo-Kazooie and Twelve Tales: Conker 64 were both being developed by two different teams at Rare. Seeing how development for Banjo-Kazooie was going a lot better than Twelve Tales: Conker 64 was, and also due to the fact Banjo and Kazooie were universally loved and it would take a lot for Conker's game to be as popular, this is one of the reasons Twelve Tales: Conker 64 was canceled and reworked into Conker's Bad Fur Day.
Relations to the Conker franchise
The following is a list of many relations between both Banjo-Kazooie and Conker franchises.
- Banjo and Conker first appeared alongside each other in Diddy Kong Racing as playable racers.
- Berri in her original design makes a cameo as a portrait in the level Rusty Bucket Bay in Banjo-Kazooie.[1] This portrait was replaced by Conker in the Xbox Live Arcade remake.[2]
- Both Banjo and Kazooie make cameos on the main menu of Conker's Bad Fur Day and its remake.
- Banjo, Kazooie and Conker were going to be the main characters of The Fast and the Furriest!.
- Conker makes a cameo on a newspaper in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. [3] The radio at the start of the game can also be heard playing "Windy & Co.", which is the song for the chapter Windy.
- Due to Rare Replay including many Rare characters, Banjo, Kazooie and Conker all appear in the game.
